For those who were hoping for a return to business as normal, it appears it will take a while. The US, Canada and Mexico have agreed to extend their restictions on nonessential travel across their borders for another 30 days, at least.
This means only legal citizens are allowed in and will need to comply with the quarantine regulations of each country. There will be no cross border vacation travel permitted, which has huge implications on the travel and tourism business in each of these countries. tourism in Canada is estimated to bring in over 90 billion annually.
In Costa Rica we can expect a similar continuation of international travel restrictions. Costa Rica has a similar ban in place and there is no formal date for that to change.
