The Ministerio de Hacienda has extended the deadline to submit the mandatory Shareholder Registration for Corporations.
The General Directorate of Taxation has extended the deadline for companies and legal entities to present their declaration on the transparency and tax benefits registry for corporate shareholders.
The deadline for submitting the paperwork was by the end of today, but has now been extended to the end of May, according to a statement made by Carlo Vargas, the Director of Taxation.
The reason for the extension is due to the current Health Emergency measures in place in Costa Rica.
If you have not submitted the required documents, it is advised you do not wait until the last day. Failure to submit the required documents is subject to fines and penalties.
